Last year, she hit lifetime-bests in the 50/100/200 free, 100/200 back, and 200 IM at a spring sectional meet that was canceled this year, so Rudolph very well may have ranked higher had we had a normal year of swimming. May 05th, 2019 College, College Recruiting, High School, National, News. Albiero also made huge strides in her 50 free, moving towards the top of the class there and projecting firmly as a sprint fly/free type. There’s also a chance that we’ve simply missed a no-brainer (we’ve taken every precaution to avoid that), and if that happens, we want to make sure we correct it. Last summer, Nordmann did cut from 59/2:10 to 57.9/2:07.4 in long course butterfly, which is extremely exciting. It’s hard to find high school IMers anywhere near striking distance of NCAA scoring times. His drop from 4:16 to 4:14 is a nice one in the 500, where we don’t see many high schoolers around NCAA scoring range. His long course times are eye-popping: 53.9/1:58.9 in butterfly, 1:49, 3:51 and 50.6 in freestyle. He’s also taken about a second and a half off his 200 free and is getting into big league territory there. Chaney has pretty consistently been great on relays, which is a big boost in the college format. He’s within hundredths of NCAA invite level in the 200 and within tenths in the 500. Kjellberg owns career-best times that would make him the top gun for the Aggies in a handful of events, as he boasts short-course marks of 22.70 (50 free), 49.10 (100 free) and 55.0 (100 butterfly). Carrozza was also 45.2 and 1:37.0 in freestyle at this time last year, showing marked improvement there. So far over his junior year, Lasco has improved his freestyles, but his calling-card backstrokes have stalled, as have his IMs. Foster is far from peaked, either: he dropped a ton of time since our last ranks, when he was 3:44/1:43 in the IMs. Here’s the semifinals of that race (lane 3, black cap), which show Parker’s strength and how well she keeps her fingertips down and elbow high from the top of the stroke to the bottom, moving a lot of water with her arm catch. ... 1 thing to know about every team in the women's top 16. American Energy breaststroker Samuel Hart has committed to RIT in the class of 2025. Last year, we called it a “spirited battle” for the #1 rank, and though the names have changed, that holds true this year. It’s hard to say if he projects better as a true distance man or a mid-range 100/200/500 type. This is perhaps the best recruiting class we've ever ranked, with instant-impact swimmers in back, breast and fly.
